Collab is a collaborative addon for trip communication and planning. Enable it in Admin Panel → Addons → Collab.

Live Chat

iMessage-style chat for each trip:

• Blue bubbles for your messages, grouped with date separators
• Emoji reactions — Right-click (desktop) or double-tap (mobile) to react with emojis
• Emoji picker with Smileys, Reactions & Travel categories (Twemoji)
• Link previews — Shared URLs show OG image, title, and description
• Reply threads — Reply to specific messages with quote context
• Deleted messages show a "deleted a message" placeholder
• Real-time sync via WebSocket — messages appear instantly for all members

Collaborative Notes

Shared note cards for trip planning:

• Color-coded headers — Organize notes by category with custom colors
• Category management — Create/edit categories with colors
• File & image attachments — Upload files directly to notes (mini-preview thumbnails)
• Website links with OG image previews
• Markdown rendering — Full markdown support with an expand modal for longer notes
• Pin notes — Pinned notes get a highlighted tinted background
• Author avatar — Shows who created each note
• 2-column grid on desktop, 1-column on mobile
• Note files automatically appear in the Files tab

Polls

Create polls for group decisions:

• Apple-style poll cards with animated progress bars
• Blue check circles — Click to vote
• Voter avatars and percentage display
• Multi-choice toggle — Allow selecting multiple options
• Active / Closed sections — Close polls when voting is done
• Real-time sync — Votes update instantly for all members

What's Next Widget

A quick overview widget showing what's coming up next for each trip member:

• Shows upcoming places and assignments for today and tomorrow
• Displays user avatars and assigned tasks
• Helps the team coordinate during the trip

Shared Page

When sharing a trip via public link with the "Chat" permission enabled, visitors can see:

• Collaborative notes (read-only)
• Poll results
• Chat messages
