Vacay

Vacay is a vacation day planner addon for tracking time off across your team. Enable it in Admin Panel → Addons → Vacay.

Overview

Plan vacation days with a beautiful monthly calendar view. Features public holiday integration, company holidays, multi-person planning, and vacation entitlement tracking.

Creating a Plan

1. Go to Vacay from the main navigation
2. Create a new plan with a name
3. Invite members — Other users can join your plan (invite/accept/decline flow)
4. Each member gets an assigned color for visual distinction

Calendar View

• Monthly calendar with color-coded vacation entries per member
• Click days to mark them as vacation
• Weekend blocking — Optionally block weekends from being selectable
• Public holidays — Displayed on the calendar with colored badges
• Company holidays — Custom holidays visible to all plan members
• Responsive — Full calendar on desktop, optimized view on mobile

Holiday Calendars

• International public holidays for 100+ countries via the Nager.at API
• Region-specific — Select your country/region for accurate holidays
• Multiple calendars — Add several holiday calendars with different colors (e.g. for team members in different countries)
• Company holidays — Create custom holidays specific to your organization

Vacation Tracking

• Vacation days per year — Set your annual entitlement
• Carry-over — Track unused days from the previous year
• Year management — Manage entitlements across multiple years
• Balance overview — See used, remaining, and carried-over days at a glance

Real-Time Sync

All Vacay changes sync in real-time via WebSocket:

• Vacation entries appear instantly for all plan members
• Plan membership changes (invite, accept, decline) sync live
• Works across desktop and mobile simultaneously

When email notifications are configured, Vacay sends notifications for:

• Plan invitations
• Plan membership changes
